Update June 18th! - COMPLETE DISH NETWORK NAGRAVISION 3 BLACKOUT!

On June 14th even more channels on the Dish Network line-up have changed to Nagravision 3 encryption. Many channel favorites have gone to the darkside along with many kid and family channels. Nagravision 3 encryption is now active on many Dish Network channels, to include Premium Movie Channels, International Programming, HD Channels, Adult/Porn Channels, and more regular programming channels! So far very limited IKS based support exists for a small group of capable receivers decrypting few Nagravision 3 enabled channels. The Sonicview iHub has been introduced to support popular Sonicview receivers and so far has the most number of N3 encrypted Dish Network channels viewable. Make sure you have the FTA Toolbar for any further Nagravision 3 news and announcements.

Nagravision 3 Transition In Progress on Dish Network

Many Standard Definition, High Definition, Adult and International Programming channels on Dish Network have moved to Nagravision 3. Pay-Per-View and some other standard definition channels are still working on the older encryption - this could change at any time! The FTA community is heading into a frenzy as it did in the past with the switch to Nagravision 2. Many FTA sites are down for one reason or another. Some speculate it is the result of a crackdown on FTA sites, and others declare the coders are going underground for a while working on Nagravision 3 workarounds and fixes. One thing is for certain, many are wondering how long the remaining channels will last and what they are going to do if their screens go completely black.

06/14 Another massive migration to Nagravision 3 occurred. Some channels still remain N2 including PPV. 05/28: Massive channel migration on Dish Network to Nagravision 3 encryption occurred. There is currently no fix for Nagravision 3 impacted channels on standalone FTA receivers. An IKS solution for Nagravision 3 impacted channels are being developed by FTA coders.
